My CricutMaker machine did not come with much instructions so I am figuring out things as I go along. I discovered that there are Cricut designs that I can buy easily and make with my machine! Wow, it's much easier to do this than come up with something from scratch. Although, it adds up if you're buying designs all the time. I plan to come up with my own and will share some on this site!
For my latest project, I wanted to make a box to hold a gift for my girls and found this cute hexagon shaped one with a snowflake design. It was pretty cheap, around $2 for the design on the Cricut design site. I severely underestimated the time it would take to glue all of the sides but didn't it come out so cute?! Then I scoured the internet for an image of my girls' current obsession - Squishmallows. Squishmallows are super soft stuffed animals. These things are so new that there aren't any images so I ended up hand drawing it on my computer myself. I still can't believe I spent all of that time drawing it. It I added it as a tag to their gift box as shown in the picture above. You can find the link to the box design below but I am not able to share my Penguin design (sorry!). I will try to make more shareable designs!
Tips:
- Use light card stock. Medium would probably work, too.
- Fold inwards where the scores are if possible. It makes the fold slightly more clean.
- Use hot glue gun for the fast and easy assembly.

Here is a link to the box design I used (please note that I purchased this design from the Cricut design site and you will have to, too). This is the only design I did not make myself which is why there is a cost. All of my other designs are free.
