I woke up today, had coffee, and decided to make the most basic pillow box ever. It's a perfect day so far in my book! I think I will try to make a fancier version later but this simple version looks really good when you add a gift tag (the tag is included in my Cricut design in Cricut Design Space) and little ribbon or string. I'm super proud of it! I sized the box to fit a gift card but you can easily resize to fit your needs. You can't get any simpler than ONE card stock! Well, technically it's 2 if you count the pretty gift tag added.
So if you are ever in a bind and need a little box to hold a gift, look no further than this Cricut design! You can make it very fast, pop in your gift, and tie a little string around it, and tada! A beautiful gift ready to go.
So far, I've been focused on making boxes, cards, and gift card holders. Is there something you would like to see me make or post about? If so, comment below!
Tips:
- Crease the folds first before gluing. Once you glue, it's hard to crease the sides.
- If you're using textured or printed cardstock, place it face down on the mat. That way, the scoring will be done on the inside of your box.
